Adhesive bridges and baby teeth to replace missing teeth
Initial situation
The patient had two congenitally missing posterior teeth adjacent to two teeth (non-permanent milk/baby teeth). Due to the young age of the patient and perfectly healthy neighbouring teeth, implants and conventional bridges could not be used to close the gaps.
Carried out treatment
As an innovative solution to the problem, we decided to use the deciduous teeth as anchors for holding the replacement teeth. After a minimally invasive preparation, we bonded two all-ceramic zirconia bridges to the baby teeth to replace the missing premolars.
