Maryland Bridge and Veneer

Initial situation

The patient had a congenitally missing right lateral incisor which had been replaced with a non-noble alloy framework Maryland bridge. This bridge had discoloured the anchoring incisors and a misfitting veneer on the left lateral incisor combined with a gum recession. The patient wanted to have an even smile and have both teeth restored aesthetically.

Carried out treatment

We initially corrected the gum recession on the upper left lateral incisor with a connective tissue graft. After three month we prepared for the Maryland bridge and the new veneer, and fitted both of them two weeks later.
