Natural composite bonding for trauma repair
Initial situation
The patient had an unfortunate swimming pool accident which caused trauma and fracture to his two central incisors.
Carried out treatment
After a thorough evaluation and vitality testing of the teeth to ensure there was no permanent nerve damage following the trauma, we started by taking multiple photographs with different shades of composite temporarily stuck onto the teeth to build a layering recipe to match the natural colours and shades of the tooth from the inside out. Following this under rubber isolation we smoothened the fractured area and started layering the tooth inside out incorporating stains and colours to match the natural tooth. This was achieved in a single appointment without any injections.
