Adhesive bridges and baby teeth to replace missing teeth
Case of the Week
The patient had two congenitally missing posterior teeth adjacent to two deciduous teeth (non-permanent milk/baby teeth). Due to the young age of the patient and perfectly healthy neighboring teeth implants and conventional bridges could not be utilised to close the gaps. As an unorthodox solution to the problem, we decided to use the deciduous teeth as anchors for holding the replacement teeth.
After a minimally invasive preparation, we bonded two all ceramic zirconia bridges to the deciduous teeth to replace the missing premolars.
