Case Study: Correction of a gummy smile
This patient approached Wimpole Street Dental Clinic as they weren’t happy with their smile. The patient expressed that they disliked their “gummy smile” and that it made them feel self-conscious. Instead, we lifted the gums from the underlying bone and removed the excess bone that was present. The procedure took place in our state-of-the-art dental facility where we explained the treatment fully with the patient beforehand to allay any concerns or questions. After a healing period of around four weeks the patient’s smile already looked much better and left the patient with a newfound self-confidence.
