I am a qualified prosthetics (dental restorations) specialist with the German Society of Prosthodontics and the General Dental Council and a certified implantologist with the German Society of Implantology. I have been working in dentistry for over 20 years and still find the developments exciting, both, as a scientist and clinician. In addition, I have the privilege to be able to pass on my knowledge and experience to the next generation as a professor at the University of Kiel. I am also actively involved in the clinical research and development of dental implant systems. My work has already received the Camlog Research Award. Since the exchange of knowledge is an important part of research and further development, I regularly publish in national and international specialist magazines and give lectures at home and abroad by invitation. If you are interested, you can find treatment examples from my everyday practice here.

Special interest in:
Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry
Dr Raul Costa is a restorative dentist with a unique set of skills for dental aesthetics and a drive for ultra-conservative techniques. His patients quickly understand he is a perfectionist in everything he does.
He qualified from the Lisbon Dental School in 2005 and has been practicing in London since 2008. Keeping teeth healthy or restoring them to their original function and beauty with longevity in mind, is at the core of his vision of what dentistry should be. He works with world-renowned ceramists in order to deliver natural-looking, life-like, crowns and veneers. He is also particularly talented and experienced with composite bondings and implant-supported restorations.
Together with some colleagues from around the world he has pioneered a revolutionary technique to conservatively prepare teeth for full ceramic restorations, resolving complex dental problems with exceptional outcomes. He has authored a paper on the subject and teaches his approach internationally.
Raul documents his work exhaustively and you are able to view some of it on Instagram.
Apart from dentistry, Raul loves to spend time with his family, plays the guitar, and is a committed cinephile.
