A smile makeover is not a single treatment. It is a coordinated plan that combines whichever treatments your case actually needs, sequenced so they work together rather than fighting each other. It might involve veneers, crowns, whitening, composite bonding, orthodontics, implants or gum treatment, and for most patients it involves several of these.
What separates a makeover from having a few cosmetic treatments done is the planning. The final result is designed first, then the treatments are chosen and ordered to reach it. Whiten before you bond, not after. Straighten before you veneer, so less enamel comes off. Treat the gums before you build anything on them. Get that order wrong and you either compromise the result or pay twice.
Before anything irreversible happens, we design the outcome. Photographs, digital scans and 3D imaging are used to plan the shape, proportion and position of your teeth against your face, your lips and your bite, not in isolation. You see the proposed result and can respond to it while it is still just a design, which is when changes cost nothing.
That planning also tells us the honest answer to the question patients most want to ask: what is realistically achievable with your teeth, your bone and your gums. It is far better to have that conversation looking at a model than to discover the limits halfway through treatment.
The design is only as good as its execution. Our ceramic work is made by technicians who work directly with your clinician rather than at the end of a courier route, which means shade, shape and character can be discussed, checked and adjusted properly. For a smile makeover, where every restoration has to sit in harmony with the ones beside it, that proximity is the difference between good and outstanding.
Complex makeovers rarely sit within one discipline. Yours may need prosthodontic planning, orthodontic movement, periodontal treatment or implant surgery, and having those clinicians in the same building, discussing the same plan, removes the co-ordination problems that derail cosmetic cases elsewhere. Treatment stays under one overall plan rather than being handed between practices.
Many patients come to us after years of piecemeal treatment, or after work elsewhere that has not aged well. Excessive wear, gum recession, failing old restorations, a collapsed bite: these are not cosmetic problems with cosmetic solutions, and treating them as such is why they recur. Our approach is to establish why the damage happened, stabilise the underlying cause, and only then rebuild the appearance. It takes longer and it is more honest.
Because every makeover is bespoke, cost varies considerably with what your case actually requires. Treatment starts from £2,500 and rises with the number of teeth involved and the complexity of the work. Following a consultation you will receive a detailed written plan setting out each stage and its cost, so you know the full picture before committing to anything. Finance options are available.
We would rather be straightforward about this: a smile makeover is a significant investment, and it is not the right treatment for everyone who asks about it.
