Fixed teeth in a day (All-on-4 dental implants)
Case Study
After the standard initial diagnostical evaluation (3-dimensional X-ray, photos, printed models, evaluation of the bite and the function) we removed all residual teeth, cleaned the teeth in the lower front, and placed four implants in the upper jaw and four implants in the lower jaw. A temporary was placed in the lower jaw as well as in the upper jaw. The temporary in both jaws were fixed to the newly placed implants. Four weeks later the final screw-retained restoration was placed in both jaws. The patient described having fixed teeth as a life-changing experience.
This patient was wearing removable dentures for decades. The combination of insufficient oral hygiene and a teeth-destroying removable denture was the loss of a lot of teeth, a serious gum disease, cysts, and abscesses. The patient wanted to restore his teeth and promised us regular visits to the dental hygiene the maintain quality of the new restoration.
