Case Study: Fixed-teeth-in-a-day/All-on-4
The patient had multiple missing and destroyed teeth, infections in the bone, and a severe tongue habit altering the bite severely. Additionally, the patient smoked and had a dental phobia. However, some of her teeth were still restorable making the decision for an appropriate treatment difficult.

Treatment undertaken:
After a thorough discussion about possible options, the patient decided to go ahead with a radical solution – extracting all teeth and undertaking fixed teeth-in-a-day treatment. We proceeded with a 3D X-ray of her jaws to determine the bone condition and a digital scan to help us prepare as thoroughly as possible. This was followed with diagnostic treatment planning for both jaws, planning the extraction of all teeth, implant placement (All-on-4) in both jaws, and bone augmentation followed by immediately loading implants with temporary teeth. After the initial healing phase of one month, the temporary teeth were replaced with a final restoration consisting of a metal framework and PMMA-milled teeth. The patient was overwhelmed by the result and delighted with her new smile.
