Case Study: All-on-4 Dental Implants 3
This was a challenging case for us here at Wimpole Street Dental Clinic as the patient had complete dentures, severe bone loss in the upper and lower jaw, and two misplaced implants with additional buccal bone loss in both jaws.
Dentist:
Prof Dr Christian Mehl
Treatment undertaken:
After a thorough discussion with the patient, we decided to leave the old implants in place and proceeded with a 3D X-ray of her jaws to determine the exact bone condition and took a digital scan. This was followed by diagnostic treatment planning for the upper and lower jaw, implant placement (six additional implants in the upper and two additional implants in the lower jaw to the existing two implants) and immediately restoring the lower implants with temporary teeth.
