All-on-4 Implants

The concern

This patient was wearing removable dentures for decades. The combination of insufficient oral hygiene and a teeth-destroying removable denture led to a loss of a lot of teeth, serious gum disease , cysts and abscesses. The patient wanted to restore his teeth and promised us regular visits to our dental hygienist to the maintain quality of the new restoration.

The treatment

After the standard initial diagnostical evaluation (3-dimensional X-ray, photos, printed models, evaluation of the bite and the function) we removed all residual teeth, cleaned the teeth in the lower front and placed four implants in the upper jaw and four implants in the lower jaw. A temporary tooth was placed in the lower jaw as well as in the upper jaw. The temporar tooth y in both jaws was fixed to the newly placed implants. Four weeks later, the final screw retained restoration was placed in both jaws. The patient described having the fixed teeth as a life changing experience.
