Case Study: Implant and crowns to replace failing front teeth
The patient came to our Marylebone dental clinic due to an accident that caused trauma to their front teeth. Four crowns were placed at another dentist to restore the damaged upper front teeth. However, due to a failing root canal treatment, the upper left central incisor had to be removed.
Dentist:
Prof Dr Christian Mehl
Treatment undertaken:
We obtained the patient’s diagnostic records consisting of a 3-D X-ray, digital photographs and a digital 3-D scan in a single session at our state-of-the-art dental clinic. Prof Mehl used this imaging data to create a bespoke treatment plan and talked the patient through each step. The patient returned to our clinic for a session where a fully guided implant was placed whilst bone and connective tissue was transplanted. The final restoration on both upper front teeth was placed two months after the initial operation.
