Case Study: All-on-4 (2)
This was a challenging case as the patient had multiple missing teeth, with no posterior bite and without any accurate vertical bite reference. His existing teeth also had severe gum disease with some teeth showing pathological migration and supra-eruption. His lower teeth also showed gum recession (loss of gum height).

Treatment undertaken:
After a thorough discussion with the patient, we proceeded with a 3D X-ray of his jaws to determine the bone condition and a digital scan. This was followed with diagnostic treatment planning for the upper jaw, planned extractions of all upper teeth, and implant placement (All-on-4) followed by immediately loading the upper implants with temporary teeth. After the initial healing phase of two months, the temporary teeth were replaced with a final restoration consisting of a metal framework and PMMA-milled teeth. The patient was very happy with their results.
