Bone graft transplants in modern implantology
This video demonstrates how small bone defects are repaired using bone grafting to support implant placement. The patient presented with a tooth affected by apical inflammation and bone loss, requiring extraction and grafting to restore the area. Grafting material was used to fill the defect, creating a stable foundation for an implant. A temporary tooth was provided the same day for comfort and aesthetics.
After four months of healing, the implant integrated into the bone, and soft tissue healed naturally. A custom final crown, matched to the patient’s natural teeth, was then placed, resulting in a fully functional, aesthetic restoration that blends seamlessly with the surrounding teeth.
