Immediate placement of a lower molar implant
In this video, we walk you through a simple yet effective case involving guided implant surgery and immediate temporary restoration. This case highlights how modern technology, including digital planning and 3D imaging, makes procedures faster, easier, and more comfortable for patients.
Patient Overview: The patient had an old porcelain fused to metal crown on the upper right first premolar. The crown had failed due to decay under the crown margin and the cement being washed out. After the crown came off, it was clear that the tooth could no longer be saved due to a vertical fracture. The decision was made to extract the tooth and place an implant, restoring the tooth with a pre-manufactured temporary restoration immediately.
