Dr Etienne Deysel
Dr. Etienne Deysel is one of our very experienced sedationists and he helps us to treat patients who are scared of the dentist or need big treatments or operations.
Sedationist
Dr. Deysel qualified from University of Pretoria, South Africa, with MBChB in 1989. From 1991 to 2001 he practiced as a GP and during this time he was a shareholder in two anaesthetic day clinics and also two private Accident & Emergency Units. He was a member of the Association of Insurance Medical Officers of South Africa and a Council member of the South African Academy of Family Practice.
Biography
In 2001 he was recruited by Integrated Dental Holdings to come to the UK to expand the sedation part of their operations and so from May 2001 to the present time he works full time as an a sedationist. Etienne is further trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Immediate Life Support Paediatric Immediate Life Support and Advanced Life Support.
He obtained a post graduate qualification in Conscious Sedation and Pain Control from University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2003.
He is a Member of the Society for the Advancement of Analgesia in Dentistry and a Member of the Association of Dental Anaesthetists.
