Case Study: 3 unit zirconia bridge

This patient wanted to restore his missing tooth. His case would have required slightly more complex implant surgery than usual. Also, the adjacent teeth were in need of restorative treatment as well. A bridge is an ideal option for these cases.

How do Dental Bridges work?

Step 1: Clean and rebuild teeth

As the adjacent teeth will support the future bridge, it is essential that the dentist cleans all decay and replaces all old defective restorative materials.

Step 2: Producing the zirconia bridges

After preparing the teeth – we only use the most conservative techniques – the dentist takes an impression of them. The lab technician can then craft the zirconia bridge.

Step 3: Fitting the bridge

2 weeks later, the bridge can then be strongly cemented to the
supporting teeth.

Step 4: Bridge fitted

Once fitted, one can appreciate its function and aesthetics. Understanding and respecting the patient’s usual bite is paramount for a durable bridge.
