Case Study: Maryland bridges (2)
Missing premolar due to fracture.
Dentist:
Prof Dr Christian Mehl
Treatment undertaken:
For this kind of treatment we do not have long term survival data. Our personal experience with this kind of treatment is around 10 years without a single failure. However, this treatment still has to be classified as experimental. For each missing tooth, an individual framework made of high-performance ceramics was milled, which in this case was individually veneered. The finished adhesive bridges were then adhesively bonded to the posterior premolar.
