Case Study: Composite Veneers

This young patient was aware his teeth had been damaged due to grinding and wanted to repair them. The ideal solution here would be porcelain veneers but, for the convenience of the procedure, he chose composite veneers.

How do Composite Veneers work?

Step 1: Initial smile

Correctly evaluating the smile is crucial. Framing the teeth in their
context allow us to understand better what can be improved.

Step 2: Digital smile design

Before jumping into modifying the patient’s teeth, we design
a possibility of the final outcome. We can then transfer this onto a 3D model that we
call wax-up.

Step 3: Mock-up

In this case, we chose to test the wax up onto the patient’s teeth. This
gave us the possibility of having the patient evaluate it and the certainty that the
the patient would like the final outcome.

Step 4: Final

4 composite veneers were hand-crafted, taking into account the
modifications that the patient requested after the wax-up. The teeth are repaired, and we achieve a fuller, rejuvenated smile.
