Instead, we lifted the gums from the underlying bone and removed the excess bone that was present. The procedure took place in our state-of-the-art dental facility where we explained the treatment fully with the patient beforehand to allay any concerns or questions. After a healing period of around four weeks the patient’s smile already looked much better and left the patient with a newfound self-confidence.
