Case Study: Extraction, immediate implant and temporary
This case study is another example of what modern technology can achieve and how we regularly help our dental patients. A root canal treated tooth fractured and the patient decided against a magnetic or orthodontic extrusion and instead opted for an immediate implant after extraction.
Dentist:
Prof Dr Christian Mehl
Treatment undertaken:
After 3-D planning at our Marylebone clinic, the tooth was taken out, the inflammation was removed and a new implant was placed together with a connective tissue graft. A new temporary tooth was placed immediately onto the new implant. This technique allowed us to maintain almost all of the anatomy and as you can see from the stippling of the gums that the fibroblasts and their fibres feel very comfortable with this surface of the restoration. The patient was delighted with the results.
