Case Study: Full Mouth Reconstruction
The patient had lost enamel and dentine due to acid exposure and grinding. After our usual diagnostic process, which included taking a set of pictures, performing a 3D digital scan, and creating a wax model, we decided to raise the bite by 3 mm to restore the lost height between the teeth.

Prof Dr Christian Mehl
Treatment undertaken:
To ensure this adjustment was suitable, we tested it with a temporary PMMA setup for three months. Once we confirmed the new bite was comfortable and effective, we replaced the temporary setup with permanent, fully detailed crowns for the molars, and customized crowns and veneers for the premolars and incisors. We also bleached and restored the lower front teeth using composite fillings. To monitor and protect against continued grinding, we provided a nightguard for the patient to wear.
