How do Dental Crowns work?

Step 1: Diagnosing

After the usual diagnostic phase with a picture set, a digital 3D scan and a wax-up/set-up we decided to lift the bite by 3 mm to regain the lost vertical distance.

Step 2: Treatment

We tested the bite with a PMMA temporary for 3 months and then transferred the tested situation into fully anatomical glazed and stained crowns for molars and cut back and veneered crowns and veneers for all premolars and incisors. The lower front teeth were bleached and restored using composite fillings.

Step 3: Results

A nightguard was placed to evaluate if parafunction still continued after the placement of the restoration.
