Case Study: Periodontal treatment and composite fillings
The patient has had a serious gum disease in the past 10 years which was not treated. It resulted in the teeth elongating and protruding. The patient’s request was to rectify the situation without breaking the bank.
Dentist:
Prof Dr Christian Mehl
Treatment undertaken:
Initially we tried to save as many teeth as possible with a deep surgical cleaning supported by antibiotics and extracted all their wisdom teeth. After a re-evaluation period of six weeks and stabilisation of the gums, we repositioned the teeth with Invisalign i7 and placed simple composite fillings to close the black gaps and reshaped the teeth.
