How do All-on-4 Dental Implants work?

Step 1: The initial situation

The patient had lost many teeth to decay and periodontal disease as shown here.

Step 2: Diagnostic treatment planning

We took X-Rays of the patient’s jaw to better understand the extent of the situation and also spoke with the patient, who was very nervous, about the treatment in full and what to expect.

Step 3: Treatment

After assessing our options, we decided together with the patient to extract all remaining teeth and create a permanent restoration carried by implants. In a six-hour operation in sedation we extracted all teeth, cleaned the bone from any inflammation, placed overall eight implants and re-augmented new bone. Three hours later we placed new temporary teeth on the implants in upper and lower jaw.

Step 4: Post-healing phase

After an initial healing phase of four weeks the temporary teeth were changed to a permanent restoration (CoCrMoW framework, PMMA teeth and Bis-GMA gum imitation).

Step 5: Results

As you can see, the results were stunning and life-changing for the patient. (Please note that some images have been cleaned up with photoshop for better illustration purposes.)
