Case Study: All-on-4 (3)
This patient came to our clinic with multiple missing teeth and failing metal ceramic crowns on his upper teeth. The tooth structure below these crowns was decayed and not suitable for another tooth-based restoration.
Dentist:
Prof Dr Christian Mehl
Treatment undertaken:
After carrying out 3D X-rays and detailed diagnostic treatment planning, we went ahead with extracting all his upper teeth followed by the placement of four implants in his upper jaw with simultaneous bone augmentation. These implants were loaded immediately with a set of temporary teeth that were digitally designed, milled and ready prior to the surgery. After an initial healing phase of three months the upper temporary teeth were changed to a permanent restoration.
