With a 2% chance, the patient’s upper lateral incisors were congenitally missing. This patient had two incisors missing and previous orthodontic treatment placed the canines in the position of the missing upper lateral incisors.

We explained multiple options to the patient who then decided to receive six veneers in order to change the shape of the existing dentition into a “normal” dentition. We decided to reshape the existing canines and first premolars into lateral incisors and canines. The patient was delighted with the results and felt newfound confidence in their restored smile.
