How do Immediate Implants work?
Step 1: Diagnosing
This patient was very unlucky as a mobile phone caused a trauma on her originally beautiful front teeth.
Step 2: Planning
She initially saw a colleague who restored her fractured teeth and treated them with root canal treatments. However, initially the left upper frontal incisor and at a later stage the upper right frontal incisor where cracked too deeply to be left without further treatment. After discussing several options we decided to extract both upper front teeth and replace them with implant supported single crowns.
Step 3: 3D X-Ray & Digital Scan
We used advanced imagery technology to prepare and plan our treatment to extract the teeth and place implants.
Step 4: Treatment
We extracted both teeth and placed the implants with simultaneous bone augmentation, connective tissue graft and immediate temporarisation.
Step 5: Temporaries
We placed both implant temporaries six weeks after the implantation of the second implant.
Step 6: Checks before final restoration
After confirming the successful integration of the implants with an X-ray we took the reference colour for the prospective restoration and scanned the position of the implants.
Step 7: Results
The technician then produced the final restoration and the patient’s soft and hard tissues were ready to receive the implant supported restorations. A small composite bonding was placed to cover the defects of the right lateral incisor. After the final check the situation presented itself stable and the smile restored.
